How to Use DW's Image Hosting

peasinaToday, while scrolling my Reading Page, I was greeted by purple boxes containing a message from imgur: "This content not viewable in your region." It's because of stupid new laws in the UK that have also stopped me from looking at fanart on AO3 and many other websites (🙄), and yeah I'm annoyed, but I thought I'd try to channel my annoyance into something helpful!
If you include images in your DW posts, such as icon batches or community banners, are you aware of DW's inbuilt image hosting? I feel like a lot of people are, so ignore this post if that's you, but if you're not... I'd already written the below guide for someone who reached out to me a few years ago asking for help, so I've tweaked it a little and hope it's helpful to anyone who might stumble across it.
